Commu for Communities is a secure and easy-to-use alternative to Facebook and Whatsapp groups for promoting community and neighbourliness in for example  housing associations and clubs.

In Commu for Communities (C²), members can ask for help and offer to help through an easy-to-use communication platform.

How it works?

Commu for Communities is a digital communication platform where residents can ask for and give help. Commu for Communities is a closed group that residents can only access via an invitation link or QR code. This makes it easy and safe to ask for and give help and to get to know your neighbours.

It can be used as an app on your phone or in a browser, for example on a computer or iPad.

Better communication. C² improves internal communication within communities. Create groups, share information, discuss and get to know each other. You can also share important messages via newsletter.

Community spirit. Residents can ask for and give help either in a closed community group (for example, watering flowers during the holidays) or from Commu users in their neighbourhood (peer support, new friends, a play club for children).

It’s easy to create events. Residents can register for an event directly within the Commun.

Traction and attraction. C² helps gather information about what residents need and what it is like to live in the community.

There are many benefits of community
  • It’s easier to get to know your neighbours. Helping out is a great way to get to know new people in your building.
  • Residents’ daily lives will be made easier. Being able to ask for help with a low threshold improves resident comfort and makes their daily lives easier. Helpers are just around the corner! This is particularly important for people who have moved to a new place, for example, and for those whose relatives and friends live far away.
  • The safety and security experienced by residents will be improved. Several studies have shown that a community of neighbours improves the sense of security.
  • Community spirit prevents problem situations. When residents know each other, problems are less likely to escalate into fights.
